Striated Fieldwrens (Calamanthus fuliginosus) are found only in south-eastern Australia, including Tasmania. They are small-sized, heavily streaked brownish birds. The tail is usually cocked upwards. Striated Fieldwrens are frequently found in dense shrubby habitats, including heathlands, shrublands and tussock grasslands. They mainly feed on insects, but sometimes eat seeds.
