The Lewin’s Rail (Rallus pectoralis) is a seldom observed bird that inhabits vegetated wetlands. It is found in Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Australia, including Tasmania.
The Lewin’s Rail mostly inhabits wetland areas with dense vegetation, including wetlands and river flats where they forage for a variety of aquatic plants and invertebrates.
