Eastern Spinebill

Eastern Spinebills (Acanthorhynchus tenuirostris) are found in eastern and south-eastern Australia, including Tasmania.
The Eastern Spinebill is a honeyeater, easily recognised by its distinctive, long, curved beak, which is particularly well-suited to extracting nectar from tubular flowers. They feed on insects and nectar while perched or while hovering.
